Cucumbers are most often used raw and are perfect in salads. Some chefs prefer to peel the skin off the fruit as it can be bitter.

Cucumbers pair well with mint an dill, which can be added directly to your salad or to dressings. Cucumber and mint can also be added to smoothies and juice. Tatziki sauce is made from shredded cucumber, yogurt, and dill.

Pickling cucumbers, however, are best for preserving in a solution of vinegar, salt, sugar, spices, and water. You can create countless number of combinations for your pickles to use on sandwiches, as a relish, or eaten as side dish.

Super productive

by

Super productive and easy to grow. I can't tell that they taste like lemon at all, but they're really cute.

Novelty Cucumber

by

5 Stars for productivity, 3 stars for flavor (I don't taste the citrus).
I found them susceptible to fungus. Probably will not grow again in favor of some more resistant varieties.

Fed me for the season

by

Grew these in NC, had a hard time germinating them and had to find the right month they grew the best, the ones that did grow did amazing, they need to be pruned due to fungus but it is the most productive cucumber I used so far, eat them small and green for a regular cucumber taste, eat them yellow for a citrus taste, they’re round, and it’s recommended to cook them while they’re yellow, but I ate them raw either way. Every areas different, try to find the month that works for you and this plant.

Producer- Very Tasty

by

This is the second year I planted these. If you like lemon cucumbers, this is the one! It produces quite a lot. Very tasty!

happy little garden balloons

by

directly sown with great germination results. These were so much fun to grow trellised. The plants won't climb on their own, they have to be tied. But it keeps the fruit off the ground/away from pests AND it has the added benefit of looking like your garden is full of deflated birthday balloons.

These produced well and had a lovely crunch. Don't get disappointed, they don't actually taste like lemons.
