Item Details

Exceptionally vigorous plants yield hundreds of large red cherry tomatoes throughout the season. The superb flavor won it top billing over 100 other varieties in an Australian taste test.

  • 70 days from transplant
  • ±13,000 seeds/oz
  • Conventional
  • Red cherry tomato
  • Indeterminate - Fruit ripens throughout the season
  • Superb flavor
  • Very productive

This variety works for:

  • Fresh eating
  • Roasting
  • Drying

Store your tomatoes at room temperature. The flavor and texture of tomatoes suffer when the fruit is chilled.

Heirloom tomatoes are bred for their flavor and simple preparation best allows that intense flavor to shine through. Tomatoes can be sliced and drizzled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper or layer slices with basil and mozzarella for a Caprese salad.

Roasted tomatoes have a richer, concentrated flavor.

There are hundreds of salsa recipes to try and most are dramatically improved with the use of heirloom tomatoes. Tomatoes are also the main ingredient in Gazpacho, a cold soup that is perfect for summer.

Growing Instructions

Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Tomatoes are sensitive to freezing temperatures, so wait to transplant outdoors until the soil is warm. Plant in full sun.

  • Start Indoors: 6 weeks before last frost
  • Germination: 7-14 Days
  • Plant Outdoors: 24-36” Apart
  • Support: Cage, stake, or trellis

Great cherry tomato!

by

Very prolific and very big cherry tomatoes. I grow two plants every year for just myself and end up giving them away to my family, friends and neighbors. Even during drought and high heat it just keeps blooming when other tomato plants loose their blooms. Grows somewhat well in large grow bags. Try roasting them with olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme just until most of the skins burst.

Scrumptious flavor

by

Tommy toe tomatoes are delicious. They ripen and stay fresh on the vine for a few days even if not picked. Between these and Early Girl tomatoes both are scrumptious.

I love this tomato!

I will definitely be growing this one again next year! For those of you who winter sow your tomatoes, this variety works great. Each (large) cherry tomato is a beauty. Delicious.

Good

by

Very prolific plants, good balance of sweetness and acidity flavor, store well. A good and healthy snack.

The alphas and omegas

by

Great tasting, pretty and a great snack while you are weeding. They are the first to ripen and the last green ones when the frost finally comes. Very prolific in huge clusters along rambling vines. They are bigger than most cherry tomatoes, but not big enough for the chipmunks to bother with. They are my choice now for salads.

Not the right amount of seeds.

by

Both Cherry tomato verities I ordered had about half (27 and 22) the seeds listed.
