This was a great okra and super easy for first time gardeners. The pods tended to get tough because they'd grow past 3 inches rather quickly. It tasted best in okra and tomatoes or gumbo.
Okra Success in NE Washington!
I live in NE Washington state and have tried many different okra varieties with very little success. I actually got a good number of okra pods from Star of David in 2021. I'm very happy about that and will plant it again this year. I got to make fried okra and gumbo! Hooray!
I Love Star of David Okra
I grew this variety in 2020 and got a HEAP of juicy pods a HEAP of seeds! The plants ended up getting about 7ft tall! The plants got that tall and I did not have them spaced at the suggested distance! I will be growing this variety every! I have seeds for life of 2 packs of seeds purchased in 2020!
Star of David okra 100 seeds packet missing seeds
i bought two packets of 100 seeds of Star of David Okra. To my surprise when i opened it and counted the seeds, I have in one packet 69 seeds and in the other one 89 seeds. I wrote to complain and was told they will send a replacement. I am still waiting. I was expecting a better service from the seed savers exchange....
I would be happy to check to see why you haven't received your replacement packet. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
