This variety works for:

  • Fresh eating
  • Baking

  • Soups

Onions compliment a number of other vegetables. They are often used in stocks and soups and pair well with bay leaves, tarragon, rosemary, thyme, cumin, and coriander.

Caramelized onions offer a rich flavor without the heat or bite of a raw onion and can be used in soups, to top pizzas, or served over squash, mushrooms, or meat dishes.

You can also use onions in jams or marmalades for savory spreads on crusty bread. Add onions to your pickle recipes or roast them with apples.

A winner!

This onion is very flavorful (not overwhelming) and easy to grow! I will definitely grow it again.

Great Storage, Minimal Germination Rate

by

I had about 50% or less germination rate. Not sure if this is normal or not. This is definitely a great tasting AND LONG term storage onion. 6 months plus for sure for me.

Excellent germination. Many grew quite large. The small ones were good as well. Kept quite well in my basement so far. This onion has delicious flavor in recipes and is not overwhelming although I would recommend refrigerating before dicing by hand.
