Long vines, mild flavor

I am on my third year with this pumpkin. I keep getting it because it grows so well. The pumpkins are shaped and colored beautifully and make great soups. The pumpkin pies I make don’t taste very “pumpkin”ey, but they are very good. This plant vines like crazy. I have it grow up a trellis and the pumpkins hang and grow without needing any support. At a certain point I snip the ends of those vines. I also have it grow out across a large mulched area and it just grows and grows. It keeps setting fruit until the end of the season if you let it... young ones can be cooked like summer squash.

A bit of work, but worth it

This is our first year growing pumpkins. These pumpkin plants are gigantic. We started out with multiple pumpkins on the vine, but many rotted, and now we have just one large healthy pumpkin. These pumpkin plants require a great deal of consistent feeding and watering, so it has been a more involved process, but the pumpkin looks amazing. It is very beautiful. We can't wait to try it. I gave it four stars due to the work involved with this one.

sweet soup and pie pumpkin

Well worth the wait! Great for cooking and pies. Smooth texture. Cut, roast and freeze for later use. Great for cakes and muffins too!
