This variety works for:

  • Fresh eating
  • Sauce
  • Roasting
  • Canning
  • Freezing

Store your tomatoes at room temperature. The flavor and texture of tomatoes suffer when the fruit is chilled.

Heirloom tomatoes are bred for their flavor and simple preparation best allows that intense flavor to shine through. Tomatoes can be sliced and drizzled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper or layer slices with basil and mozzarella for a Caprese salad.

Roasted tomatoes have a richer, concentrated flavor.

There are hundreds of salsa recipes to try and most are dramatically improved with the use of heirloom tomatoes. Tomatoes are also the main ingredient in Gazpacho, a cold soup that is perfect for summer.

Growing Instructions

Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Tomatoes are sensitive to freezing temperatures, so wait to transplant outdoors until the soil is warm. Plant in full sun.

  • Start Indoors: 6 weeks before last frost
  • Germination: 7-14 Days
  • Plant Outdoors: 24-36” Apart
  • Support: Cage, stake, or trellis

On my must-grow list

by

An all-around great variety for taste, productivity, beauty and keeping qualities. The skin never cracked, and these would make fantastic paste tomatoes too.h

One of my top 5 tomatos

by

This is exactly the sort of tomato you seek heirloom varieties for. Flavor that blows the hybrid types away - slightly acidic and sweet with a very unique tomato note. The plant tends to bear very heavy and is not prone to issues or disease. Another review noted these could be used as paste tomatoes. I had a huge crop one year and so put them thru the mill and made sauce out of them. Incredible golden color and flavor unlike any pasta sauce you ever used. Just an all around gem.

Great go to and taste is fantastic!

by

This was my first year gardening with a friend. These plants were prolific and hearty. The fruit was firm and taste was great. They were a delight to eat fresh or can! We used them fresh sliced, in sauces, and paste. All around easy to use. I cannot wait to grow them again!

Great taste! Beautiful fruit.

These produced very well. Shame I only kept four. Tasted great, firm in the right places, juicy to bite.

My favorite tomato this year

by

The fruit is a beautiful color, a good size, and the plants have done quite well. I had zero problem with splitting!

Best tomato in our garden 2023

by

Grew this with my mini Colorado dwarf tomato trial as this was reported as a dwarf. Does not seem to be a dwarf, but produced well, very large tasty fruits and even survived the disease in my garden. It was probably our favorite tomato this year.

The best orange tomato ever

by

This is probably my favourite tomato, I have had these seeds for longer than my first son has been alive- he’s 11, and the seeds are still viable! I have saved some seed one year and they grew well too. This tomato is so beautiful, meaty, juicy, sweet, balanced, and smells so incredible
