Great Producer.

by

Was skeptical about this bean, had limited selection available by the time I ordered, so this is what I got.. It was a great producer. The first planting continued to produce until frost. Didn't stop producing. Large bean, but even the ones that 'hid' and got a bit big had a good flavor. Tender. Will plant again.

Glad to be back to delicious heirloom pole beans.

by

I have been testing green beans for 10 years - all kinds, pole & bush, French filet, marketable, heirloom for flavor and production. I had forgotten how good these Kentucky Wonder beans taste until I saw one of my private reviews from years ago and decided to try again. So good. So glad I keep records because these beans taste like the real thing as opposed to the 30+ varieties I've tried in the past. Don't pass them up. Actually I realized that pole beans are so much easier to pick and take care of too.

Heirloom?

by

First year I planted these. Had 2 pickings from my other rows of providers and Empress. These Kentucky's were large plants with great looking leaves and produced 0 Beans! I question whether they are even Heirlooms.

Seed Savers Response: We classify this bean as a historic commercial variety vs calling in an heirloom. We are sorry that your seed didn't perform the way you expected and ask you to reach out to our customer service team at orders@seedsavers.org to see what we can do to make up for this.
