Item Details
Native to Europe, this spring-to summer blooming perennial columbine bears flowers noted for their brightly colored sepals in a rainbow of colors, paired with strongly hooked spurs. Growing 10-18" tall, this selection bears small, downward-facing flowers, reminiscent of an old-fashioned bonnet. In fact, past generations have even playfully referred to this flower as “Granny’s Bonnet.” The self-sowing variety prefers even moisture and grows best in full sun to partial shade, ideally with afternoon shade in hot climates. Perennial.
