Your gift today will ensure over 200 varieties of heirloom, open-pollinated, non-GMO seeds will be shipped to and safeguarded at two locations in 2019: the USDA Seed Bank in Fort Collins, Colorado and the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway. These deposits are a critical action that serves to steward our seed collection of invaluable genetic resources so that we may continue to share seeds with gardeners now and for generations to come.

Your Gift in Action

Seed Bank Stewardship

Your support funds the work of maintaining the varieties in our seed bank and enables us to send seeds to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault as an insurance policy.

Heirloom Seed Distribution

Because of you, community gardens can grow healthy food. Your gift brings seeds to where they are needed and helps ensure seeds are where they belong—growing in gardens, not just sitting in a bank.

Preserving Legacies

Together, we’re not just saving seeds—we’re saving stories and legacies, and with them, our heritage and the practice of seed stewardship.
