Dixon Inchelium Garlic
Dixon Inchilium SOLD OUT - As of 07/13/20
- 12-16 red cloves per head
- Extraordinary storage capabilities
This heirloom has been cultivated by Douglas Baty since 1980 in Dixon, Montana, as a selection from ‘Inchelium Red’ and another artichoke variety. Given to Meadowlark Hearth Farms in 2017, it continues to be grown there as ‘Dixon.’ Hardier and larger than its predecessors, this garlic has all-white bulb skin and cloves and extraordinary storage capabilities and produces larger-than-average cloves for a softneck variety. ‘Dixon,’ has been selectively grown in climates with cold winters such as Nebraska (where it has been stewarded by Meadowlark Hearth Farms) and Montana, where it originated. Softneck, 12-16 per bulb.
