Great flavor

Grew Dester this year for the first time in Southern PA where we had nearly ideal conditions until a heat wave in late July followed by some heavy rain. Outstanding, unique full Tomato flavor. One of my favorites for taste. Hardy 7 foot plus plants. Good producer of smooth, uniform, exceptionally pretty fruit, most in the 14 oz range. No cracking, splitting or abnormalities of any kind for me - they all look like the picture above. Late producer, With about average fungus resistance compared to other heirlooms. Will definitely grow it again.
