Store your tomatoes at room temperature. The flavor and texture of tomatoes suffer when the fruit is chilled.

Heirloom tomatoes are bred for their flavor and simple preparation best allows that intense flavor to shine through. Tomatoes can be sliced and drizzled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper or layer slices with basil and mozzarella for a Caprese salad.

Roasted tomatoes have a richer, concentrated flavor.

There are hundreds of salsa recipes to try and most are dramatically improved with the use of heirloom tomatoes. Tomatoes are also the main ingredient in Gazpacho, a cold soup that is perfect for summer.

Black Sea Man Tomato

by

So far this tomato variety is growing bigger and quicker than all my other varieties here in Los Angeles. First time I’ve planted it. Looks very healthy. Flower clusters especially. Excited to see the fruit

This variety is over 5’ tall with tons of fruit set in about 4 per cluster. Good resistance so far to North FL weather. I’m beyond excited to taste these and will grow the, again.

Best tomato we've ever grown

by

We have grown a lot of tomato varieties over the years and the Black Sea Man is our favorite because of its flavor. It's a great slicing tomato with it's firmer center and less jelly than others.

These have amazing flavor. They grow well and are amazing on a grilled cheese sandwich.

Best tasting slicer I've grown (for reference: love green zebra, lemon boy, don't care for Hungarian hearts). Really complex, rich flavor, but mild. Beautiful tomatoes, grew well here in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. I've never grown determinate tomatoes, but I've harvested a couple of times? Will definitely add these to my regular collection.
