Item Details

This vigorous, highly productive, and versatile variety tastes delicious whether eaten dried in soup or fresh right off the vine. Vines grow 5-6' in height and bear ornate, purple-blue flowers, while the straight, green pods average 2.5-3" long and contain 4-5 wrinkled seeds. This late-maturing heirloom pea was donated to Seed Savers Exchange by Dennis Miller, whose great-grandfather, Bill Jump, grew the peas in eastern Washington since at least the 1930s.

Tall, prolific, sweet peas for snacking and soup peas too!

by

I Love this Pea variety!! The vines are 6' tall and very prolific, peas everywhere. If you eat the peas while they are still small in the pods, they are so sweet and delicious! I've been eating a handful every day for weeks. (The ones that are too mature I don't eat bc I'm waiting for them to harden and dry, so I can save them and cook them as soup peas.)

Very Impressive

Another almost 100% germination. I agree that this is a very prolific healthy plant.
