2023 Performing Artists

Annie Humphrey is an Anishinaabe singer/songwriter from the Leech Lake Indian Reservation. She has four children, two grandsons, and a handsome, Indian, horseman husband. They inspire her spirit and her art.

Dave Moore is known for his elegant songwriting and instrumental prowess on blues guitar, button accordion, and harmonica. His album “Breaking Down to 3,” was recorded with an all-Iowa band, the songs are stunning with vivid imagery drawn from the depth of his life experiences painting a picture of the quintessential American journey.

David Huckfelt is a singer/lyricist/activist and founding front-man of Minneapolis indie-folk cult favorites The Pines. His new record “Room Enough, Time Enough” is a new work of folk songs, activism, and desert Native Americana, a record about restoring balance, space and attention, peace and equality, redeeming the marginalized, and remembering the forgotten.

Elisabeth Maurus—known by her stage name, Lissie—is an American folk rock singer-songwriter, a poignant performer, and Paste magazine’s #1 best new solo artist of 2010. Lissie has released five studio albums, two live albums, a piano compilation album, and six EPs.

William Elliott Whitmore is a singer-songwriter/banjoist/guitarist/drum-stompin’ solo act from Lee County, Iowa. He has released six full-length albums that seamlessly meld country, blues, folk, and punk styles.
