Love this Spinach!

by

This was my first year growing this spinach and I think every single seed germinated and grew very well. It grew quickly, very heat tolerant and I got at least 5 cuttings from each plant and some a few more! Very good flavor. My new favorite! I am now going to save the seeds for the next crop.

Few germinated. Slow growth

by

I planted so many seeds indoors, outdoors, everywhere in between and only two germinated.

Seed Savers Response:
Spinach will germinate at soil temperatures between 40-75°F. Spinach takes up to a month to sprout at 40° while it may only take 5 days at 75° but at higher temperatures you may only see 30% germination rates. For best results soak seeds over night in water one week before planting.

Tender, non-bitter spinach!

Excellent spinach- small, baby style. Slower to bolt. Great flavor, not bitter. This was an extra they threw in- and I’m back to order more!
I had good germination results with direct sow outdoors.

Good, but bolted quickly

by

It was tasty but it bolted almost immediately, despite planting early. We had that hot week in late spring, and that was that. My other spinach varieties did not bolt.
