(Raphanus sativus) Named for the Greek god of the sun. Pale yellow
sweet spring radish with white flesh. Similar to
the Small Early Yellow Turnip Radish described in
Vilmorin’s The Vegetable Garden (1885). 30-35 days.
Green Thumb Tip Sow seeds outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in
spring. Plant in full sun. Successive plantings can
be made every 3-4 weeks throughout summer and
fall to provide a continual harvest.
