(Capsicum annuum) Eight-inch elongated bells are as mild as apples.
Fruits stand upright on 2' plants and ripen from
green to red. Best used when green or just turning
to red. Listed in 1923 by L. L. Olds Seed Company
and described as “Possibly the most productive of
all the large peppers, bears consistently until frost.
Remarkably early for a large fruited pepper.” Best
70-90 days from transplant. SWEET
8 weeks before last frost
Green Thumb Tip Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Peppers germinate best
in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful
until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors
until soil is warm.
