(Capsicum annuum) From the Sestito family of Troy, New York.
Introduced in the 1996 SSE Yearbook by long-time
member Dr. Carolyn Male. Productive plants have
clusters of ¾" round fruits that ripen from deep
green to bright red. Great for pickling or for fresh
salsa. VERY HOT.
8 weeks before last frost
Green Thumb Tip Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Peppers germinate best
in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful
until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors
until soil is warm. ± 5,400 seeds/oz
