(Capsicum chinense) This uniquely colored habanero showed up as an
off-type in the garden of SSE member James Weaver
of Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Productive 32" plants
produce fruits that ripen from light green with a tinge
of purple to mustard orange to bright orange. Not for
the timid! 95-100 days from transplant. VERY HOT
8 weeks before last frost
Green Thumb Tip Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Peppers germinate best
in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful
until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors
until soil is warm.
