(Tithonia rotundifolia) (aka Yellow Mexican Sunflower) Plants will grow
3-4' tall and bloom until killed by frost. One of
our favorites due to the extended bloom period.
Excellent for hedges and attracting butterflies.
Annual, 70 days.
6-8 weeks before last frost
Green Thumb Tip Sow seeds indoors on surface of soil. Transplant
outdoors after last frost. Can also be directly sown
outdoors after last frost in warmer areas. Prefers
any light soil; quite drought tolerant. This variety
does not produce edible seed.
