An heirloom of the Zimmerman family of Missouri. Wade Zimmerman remembers his grandparents growing this variety in their garden in the 1960s and suspects that it was grown by his family for several generations before that. Wade notes that the variety makes excellent pickles.

Cucumis sativus ∙ Dark green fruit with blossom-end stripes and white spines. Best eaten when 6-7" long. Excellent flavor, moist crisp flesh, and tender skin. Productive. Matures mid-season.
