Donated to SSE in 1981 by John Withee. Originally cultivated by the
Passamaquoddy Native Americans in Maine. Beautiful kidney-shaped
white seeds splashed with maroon. Standard for baked beans in the
Northeast. Bush habit, dry, 80-100 days.
Green Thumb Tip Sow seeds outdoors after danger of frost has
passed and soil and air temperatures have warmed.
Harvest dry beans when the pods are completely
mature and dry.
