A great producer for my SoCal garden.

by

Living in SoCal, the summers can sometimes get pretty hot and dry. I have grown this lettuce for several years in a row and have found it a great producer for our climate and weather. Being slower to bolt is a plus, as that was what we would need. But I still plant it where it gets later afternoon shade, when the sun is most intense. I plant a small square of these, finally ending up with maybe 20 plants, and continually pluck off leaves as needed for salads and sandwiches, as this assures my lettuce continues to grow and produce for me. For me this is a keeper!
