Developed by Professor Elwyn Meader at the University of New Hampshire and released in 1977. Upright 24" plants produce an abundance of all-green beans, excellent quality. Great short-season variety.

This variety works for:

Try steaming soybean pods, or edamame, and topping with coarse salt for a quick snack. You can also shell the edamame and add them to salads with corn, black beans, onions, and cilantro for a fresh summer salad.


Adding shelled soybeans to hummus recipes make a great dip for parties and you can also puree the beans and fry them up as fritters.

Growing Instructions

Instructions - Sow seeds outdoors after danger of frost has passed and soil and air temperatures have warmed. Soybeans can be used as edamame, fresh shell beans, or dry beans.

We have grown Envy Edamame for years. They are good quality, mature all at about the same time, and are early enough to mature in our area.
