Yummy and versatile

by

The best versatile squash! We love it cubed and roasted. Better than sweet potato fries. Excellent in frittatas. Stores well. Turns orange in storage. I’m planting a larger crop this year. My husband who hates all squash is amazed he loves it.

Easy and delicious

Easy to grow, productive, and tasty. Outperformed both zucchini and Delicata in our zone 6b garden. Does spread like crazy, so give it space. Like Delicata, doesn’t require peeling. Will plant again.

my new favorite squash

by

I wrap mature fruits in foil and bake 400 degrees for 30 minutes. I let cool then slice lengthwise, remove seeds. Add butter and warm in microwave, then add a little maple syrup. No doubt my new favorite squash that can be grown on a fence.

Not for me

by

I decided to give these a try because they were developed locally and theoretically dual-purpose. But when I harvested some as summer squash, I found that the flavor was quite bland. Most of the ones that I could have tried as winter squash have already rotted on the vine. Not growing these again.
