Radishes are mostly eaten raw, sliced or diced and added to salads. You can also serve them as an appetizer with dip or hummus or sliced on buttered bread.

The leaves of radish plants are edible and can be boiled to improve the texture.

When storing radishes, make sure to clip their tops so that the roots will last longer in storage.

Second year in a row I planted these. They sprouted quickly but never developed a radish.

Love

Our whole family loves this radish. Sautéed with onions, roasted or as an alternative to potato hash. Sweet for fall harvest!

These were beautiful and spicy.

easy to grow, big foliage, love that they don't have a huge bite to them

I will start off by saying I'm a fairly new gardener, at least to radishes. I was surprised and happy to have received these for free with my other seeds I bought from seed savers a while ago. The seeds I got germinated well. Each radish grew at different paces which isn't good or bad to me just something interesting/unexpected to myself as a beginner gardener; it was different from the other more uniform varieties my family grew as a child. Lots of greens on them and pretty good size, for radishes. For someone who wants an easy plant to grow but also a big harvest these are great, especially if you don't want the more pungent bite that some radishes can have. The first time I grew them the inner part wasn't very dark pink but I'm pretty certain it's because it was my first time growing them; hopefully I can get them to grow more vibrant the second year round. I'm planning on making them a staple in my growing because they are just too easy and a good enough size root to not grow them.
